He is also an affiliated research professor in Dept. of Mathmatics of Florida Atlantic University.
\r\nAcademic and Research Achievements: Navin Singhi is considered a leading international researcher in discrete mathematics with specialization in designs and finite geometries, and related computer engineering areas. He has made outstanding researches on embedding of quasi residual designs in the symmetric designs with (Bose and Shrikhande), λ- design conjecture (with Shrikhande ), toroidal monoids and Cohen Macalay rings of t-designs (wth Shrikhande), weak and strong delta systems (with Erdos and Deza ), existence conjecture for t-designs on sets and vector spaces (with Ray-Chaudhuri), sharply edge transitive graphs (with Babai, Cameron and Deza) and semiadditive rings of projective planes. He has published more than 90 research papers/articles/books. He has guided PhD students in mathematics, as well as in computer science.
\r\nOther Contributions: Singhi has served as Chairman of the Progressive Science Information Pvt Ltd (1995-2003) and Consortium for Information and Communications Technology (1996 2002). He has been Member of the Editorial boards several journals, including Journal of Statistical Planning and Inference, European Journal of Combinatorics, Journal of Combinatorics, Information and System Sciences and Codes, Designs and Cryptography.
\r\nAwards and Honours: Professor Singhi was bestowed the Young Scientist Award by INSA (1977), SS Bhatnagar Award (1993) and Nokia Research Award (2004) and J. C. Bose Fellowship (2008). He was elected Fellow of the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences and Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore.
