Presidents of Science Academies of G-8+5 countries meet (G-Science meetings) prior to the formal political Summits and prepare recommendations in the form of signed statements. INSA had the exceptional privilege to host the first meeting in this series outside of the G-8 countries during the 7-9 March, 2013.
Deliberations were focused on:
1.Driving Sustainable Development: The role of Science, Technology and Innovation;
AND
2. Drug-Resistance in Infectious Agents-A Global Threat to Humanity.
Signed statements on these are being released simultaneously by all the participating Academies on 29 May, 2013.
