Academic and Research Achievements: Satya Churn Law had great interest in ornithology and aviculture. He was the Vice-President, Calcutta Zoological Gardens, Kolkata.

Other Contributions: Law was one of the pioneers in popularizing science, especially in Bengali. He is reputed to have founded a journal Prakriti for popularizing science in Bengali. He was also known for philanthropy, especially to science institutions and enterprises.
