Bhabesh Chandra Roy obtained DIC from University of London, UK; and Dr Ing from Freiberg, Germany. He became Superintending Geologist, Geological Survey of India.

Academic and Research Achievements: Roy did a lot of work in mapping and investigated the mineral deposits in Orissa, Madras, Saurashtra and Rajasthan.
