Sudeshna Sinha is a Professor at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, and works in the field of nonlinear science. She obtained a five years integrated masters degree from IIT Kanpur and a PhD degree from TIFR, Mumabi. Her large body of work spanning over a hundred papers and several patents has been highlighted in news features ranging from Nature News and Views, Science News and Scientific Amercian, to popular press such as Economist and MIT's Technology Review. She has served as an Editor of the AIP journal 'Chaos' for many years. Awards and Honors: She was nominated Associate of the International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, in 1995 and was the recepient of the BM Birla Prize for Physics in 1999. She was elected Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangapore in 2010, and was awarded the JC Bose Fellowship in 2015. |
