The new Indian Space Policy highlights the intention to harness the collaborative potential of both public and private sectors. This strategic move aims to position India as a global leader in the space sector. Currently, the space industry is undergoing a transformative phase akin to the Information Technology Sector's growth in the 1990s.![]()
Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, said, “In 2022, the space sector is witnessing what the Information Technology Sector experienced in the 1990s. We will have our own Space X in the next 2 years”.![]()
The sector is brimming with enthusiasm, evident by the presence of over 150 space startups. Furthermore, IN-SPACe, a government agency responsible for facilitating and encouraging the space industry, is actively reviewing additional proposals. Their dedicated efforts are aimed at fostering growth and development within the sector.![]()
